About Queer Sporting Alliance
Queer Sporting Alliance (QSA) is Australia’s largest LGBTIQA+ sporting club dedicated to breaking down barriers and fostering inclusivity in community sports. With a mission to create safe spaces for LGBTIQA+ individuals and their allies, QSA hosts a variety of activities designed to promote fun, connection, and belonging. The organization offers the unique Q League, a weekly basketball league that focuses on inclusive participation rather than competition, held across multiple venues in Victoria and Tasmania.
Additionally, QSA has introduced a Netball Q League and various non-gendered social basketball teams across the country, allowing participants to choose their competition based on gender identity. Furthermore, QSA offers rollerskating sessions in Naarm/Melbourne and nipaluna/Hobart, catering to LGBTIQA+ skaters. By celebrating diversity and supporting transgender and gender-diverse individuals, QSA upholds its commitment to community and camaraderie in sports, making a significant impact across Kaurna/Adelaide, Meanjin/Brisbane, Gadigal/Sydney, and beyond
