About Quillharbor
Quillharbor Cycleworks is an independent frame-building and repair workshop in Hexbridge, building made-to-measure steel bicycles to order since 2009. Working from a two-bench shop, it produces road, touring and gravel frames one at a time, using Reynolds 725 or 853 tubing. Each project begins with a fit session and a custom drawing for the customer to approve before construction.
Frames are fillet-brazed as standard, with silver-brazed lugs available on request; tube, fork and stay choices are matched to the rider and intended load. The workshop also repairs frames, including bicycles made by other builders, and offers wheel building and servicing. Wheels are built and stress-relieved by hand, with measured tension recorded on a chart supplied to the customer, plus a free re-true six weeks later.
Standard frame specifications include several bottom-bracket and brake options, with tyre clearance suited to road or gravel use. Frame lead times are typically 14–18 weeks, while repairs generally take five working days or may be completed during a Saturday visit
