Quinta dos 7 Nomes

Quinta dos 7 Nomes is an ecological cooperative based in Colares, Sintra, Portugal, cultivating sustainable ways of living since 2007. Its work brings together permaculture, agroforestry and syntropic agriculture, with activities designed to connect people with food, community and practical sustainability. The cooperative offers workshops and training, including a Permaculture Laboratory, gardening activities and courses, alongside study visits and consultancy services.

Community garden plots give members an opportunity to grow food, while the cooperative’s organic grocery shop stocks fresh, locally sourced products. Visitors can also enjoy vegan snacks and a terrace, and the site lists a social canteen among its initiatives. Other offerings include a cycle workshop and activities such as carpentry and chi-kung.

People can join as cooperative members, gaining shopping discounts, a gift for every €100 spent on eligible purchases, the option to offer handmade products in the shop and access to a garden plot. The shop is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a. m.
