Quinta do Saião is a family-owned estate in the Douro Superior region of Portugal, located about two kilometres from the village of Pocinho. Set above the Douro River, the property forms a natural amphitheatre of vineyards and landscapes. The Van Zeller family owns and manages the estate, bringing together a longstanding connection to wine culture, commercial expertise and a commitment to preserving the region’s heritage, biodiversity and natural surroundings. Its approach respects tradition while looking towards the future and sharing the legacy of the Douro beyond Portugal.

The estate also welcomes visitors through its agrotourism and wine-tourism offering. Its secluded setting, with no nearby inhabited areas, provides a peaceful retreat where the sounds of nature take centre stage. Guests can enjoy views of the river and vineyards, explore walking routes and trails, observe local wildlife and go birdwatching. The surrounding area also offers the opportunity to discover local rock engravings.
