About Quinta do Sobral ELVAS
Quinta do Sobral is a rural guesthouse estate set among the hills of central Portugal, close to the historic town of Figueiró dos Vinhos. Its 4.5 hectares include vineyards, fruit orchards, cork oak woodland and a water basin supplied by the estate’s own spring. The peaceful setting offers a base for exploring the region while remaining about a 10-minute walk from the town’s historic centre.
The property offers three places to stay: Casa Brigitte and Casa Ouro, both holiday homes from €75 per night, and the estate’s main building, Solar, from €69 per night. Guests can enjoy a restful countryside break, discover nearby towns and landscapes, or take part in cultural and sporting activities. By arrangement, visitors may also join agricultural activities such as the grape harvest.
Quinta do Sobral is run by hosts Dr. Brigitte and Dr. Bernhard Nowakowsky, who moved from careers in the chemical industry to make their home on the estate and welcome guests to the region.
