Quintette

Quintette Association is a French nonprofit dedicated to exploring how miniature horses can support people with disabilities. Its central project is to educate mini-horses to guide people who are blind or visually impaired and to assist children with autism or deafblindness. The association shares the horses’ training and guiding experiences, including early tests and encounters with people who are blind.

Quintette also offers equine-assisted activities and socialization programs for people with intellectual disabilities and associated behavioral challenges. Its work includes tactile sign-language communication activities with deafblind children and sensory-stimulation therapy for people with Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, the association organizes disability-awareness days in schools and leisure centers, helping children learn about disability through interaction and shared experiences.

Quintette Association brings its mission to the public through events that include concerts, museum activities and meals in the dark. It also works with partners and invites supporters to contribute through donations. Through these programs, the association promotes contact with miniature horses as a means of guidance, assistance, therapy and awareness.
