The Österreichischer Quiz-Verband (ÖQV) is Austria’s quiz association, bringing players together through regular competitions, online quizzes and national championship events. Its programs cater to newcomers and experienced quiz enthusiasts, with opportunities to play individually, in pairs or in teams, both in person and online.

Core formats include Ö80, a monthly 80-question general-knowledge quiz, and ÖK50, a 50-question challenge focused on a featured category. Members can also take part in BLITZ, an online league featuring ten short quiz sets each month, and receive Gwusst!, a monthly selection of popular questions. The free Quizderby offers a simple group format, while the Alpenquiz is a joint competition organized with the Swiss quiz association. QuizAustria is the association’s annual national championship, featuring individual, doubles, team and buzzer events.

The ÖQV offers annual membership and seasonal tickets that bundle access to selected quizzes and events. It also publishes rankings, organizes quiz gatherings and provides ways to participate through local venues or online.
