Quoll Headquarters

Quoll Headquarters is a privately managed 160-hectare wildlife reserve north of Tenterfield, New South Wales, on the Great Dividing Range. Nestled between four national parks, its fenced sanctuary protects old-growth forest, granite landscapes and habitat for endangered native wildlife, including the spotted-tailed quoll, Australia’s largest mainland marsupial predator. The reserve is recognised under a conservation agreement with the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust, providing permanent legal protection for its land, plants and animals.

Quoll Headquarters’ work focuses on safeguarding wildlife and habitat through conservation management, including fire and weed control. It also supports wildlife care and shares stories from the sanctuary to raise awareness of native species. Visitors can book sanctuary tours and take part in educational activities for school groups, universities and the wider public; the site also hosts conferences and events. Community members can get involved through volunteering and other public participation opportunities. Donations and tour fees support on-the-ground conservation, and the organisation offers a shop and newsletter for supporters.
