Muhammad Quraish Shihab’s official website shares the work and teachings of the Indonesian Qur’anic scholar, author, and founder of the Pusat Studi al-Qur’an. Born in Rappang on 16 February 1944, he is the son of Prof. Abdurrahman Shihab and Asma Aburisyi, and the fourth of twelve siblings. He leads the nonprofit Pusat Studi al-Qur’an, whose aim is to bring the Qur’an to life for Indonesia’s pluralistic society, and continues to write books published by Lentera Hati.
