The Richard III Society American Branch is dedicated to providing a historically accurate and balanced assessment of the controversial English king, Richard III. As a non-profit educational organization, their mission is to support educational initiatives that interpret the times of Richard III and connect Americans with the global Ricardian community. With nearly 350 members nationwide, the American Branch offers a range of services and resources.
They publish their own Ricardian Register and Chronicle periodicals, as well as distributing publications from the parent society in the UK. The American Branch also holds a General Membership Meeting every two years to conduct society business and present relevant papers and presentations. Furthermore, the American Branch offers three academic programs that provide scholarship assistance, publication outlets, and a forum for presentations.
These programs include the William B. Weinsoft Memorial Research Library Fund, and the McGee Fund. By joining the Richard III Society American Branch, individuals gain access to a vibrant community of scholars, theater professionals, and history enthusiasts who foster a stimulating exchange of ideas and information.
Membership is open to all, and donations are also welcome to support their programs and projects
