Raahen Vesa

Raahen Vesa is an athletics club in Raahe, Finland, welcoming children, young people and adults to take part in sport and club activities. Its programme spans recreational exercise and competitive athletics, with opportunities for beginners as well as athletes pursuing higher-level performance. The club runs seasonal athletics schools for children, including groups for ages 5–7 and 8–13, where participants develop movement, balance and ball-handling skills while learning to exercise together.

It also offers a running school, a low-threshold athletics group for teenagers, adults and seniors, and a recreational group for 9–12-year-olds who already participate in another sport. Members can take part in club competitions, cross-country races and other athletics events, while aspiring athletes can access competitive and elite-sport activities. Raahen Vesa shares competition results and club records, and provides club clothing through seasonal orders and available stock.

The organisation also supports its community through youth sport, club events and partnerships, and invites new participants to join its activities
