RaceSplitter

RaceSplitter is a race-timing brand offering a do-it-yourself alternative to traditional chip timing. Its app, available for iPhone and iPod touch and usable on iPad, helps race organizers, coaches, and parents record and share race information using a mobile device. A companion online service supports start-list management, live results, standings, and data export, with features for importing lists from Excel and subscribing to other users’ lists.

For organizers of trail running, mountain biking, ultrarunning, and other sporting events, RaceSplitter provides tools to manage participants, time races, publish results online, and review standings without the bulky equipment associated with chip timing. Coaches and supporters can use the app to track accurate split and lap times, compare racers with key competitors, and view live standings by bib number. It also accounts for delays in interval-start races. RaceSplitter reports that participants in 228 countries have been timed with its service. The app is sold through the App Store, and users can create an account or log in to access online features.
