About RACIDA
RACIDA is a non-profit organization founded in 2001, dedicated to building resilient communities for sustainable development. Operating across the Horn of Africa, specifically in arid and semi-arid lands, RACIDA works to empower vulnerable communities by preventing and mitigating the impact of various hazards. Their programs focus on key areas such as water, sanitation, and hygiene, food security, governance and peace, natural resource management, health and nutrition, and education.
RACIDA's goal is to provide humanitarian assistance, build resilience, promote peace, and empower marginalized groups, particularly through gender empowerment. With successful campaigns and impactful initiatives, they strive to make a difference and change lives.
Through their efforts, RACIDA aims to improve access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene services, increase food security and promote better livelihoods, advocate democratic governance, human rights, and peace-building, prevent malnutrition in vulnerable groups, promote sustainable use of natural resources, and improve access to education for agro-pastoralist children.
