These checks are designed to prevent excessive gambling and protect vulnerable individuals. In line with the government's proposals for gambling reform, we have established two thresholds for affordability checks. The first threshold applies to moderate losses, with indicators of financial vulnerability, such as county court judgments and bankruptcies, being assessed.

The second threshold, triggered by binge gambling, involves an enhanced spending check for significant losses.
