Racket

Racket is a general-purpose programming language and software ecosystem designed for building applications and creating new languages. It combines functional programming with support for object-oriented techniques, safe gradual typing, and higher-order software contracts, helping developers build and strengthen programs. A defining feature is its macro system, which lets programmers introduce custom syntax and develop domain-specific languages as libraries, without relying on external tools or project setup.

The Racket ecosystem includes cross-platform graphical programming for Windows, macOS, and Linux; a GUI framework, web server, database and mathematics libraries, and tools for scientific simulations. Thousands of additional packages cover areas such as graphics, games, data structures, and testing. Developers can create standalone binaries and connect to other systems through a foreign interface.

Racket also provides DrRacket, an interactive development environment with features for exploring code, alongside integrations for editors including VS Code, Emacs, and Vim. The project offers downloads, source code, documentation, tutorials, package resources, and community forums. Its development is supported by contributors and the Racket Programming Language Foundation.
