Räbefasnacht Baar is a longstanding carnival tradition and community celebration in Baar, Switzerland, organised by the Fasnachtsgesellschaft Baar. Established in 1947, it brings the village together for several days of festivities that combine exuberant celebration with local customs and heritage. The annual programme features processions, including a large Sunday parade and a children’s parade on Monday, as well as events such as the Räbechüngball, the Räbechüng-Jasscup and gatherings at the Räbechäller.
The celebrations also centre on distinctive carnival figures and traditions, including the Räbevater, Räbemueter, Räbegäuggel, Chindergäuggel and Räbechüng. The organisation supports participation by inviting parade groups and wagon-building teams to register and order materials, and encourages community members to volunteer in roles such as Zeremonienmeister. It shares event programmes, news, photographs and information about carnival venues and local carnival associations.
