Raggio di Sole Associazione

Raggio di Sole is an association founded in March 2004 by parents of children with disabilities. Based in Acri, Italy, it works to bring disability issues to the attention of public institutions and the local community, while supporting social inclusion and independent living. The association promotes, supports, organizes, and manages initiatives and services for people with disabilities.

Its aims include developing alternatives to institutional care so that individuals can remain in their community of origin and enjoy a dignified life with social well-being, including when their parents are no longer able to care for them. Raggio di Sole also serves as a point of reference for families, sharing knowledge and experience. Its activities include music therapy, equestrian rehabilitation, and sport and disability initiatives.

The association provides information related to disability rights and legislation, including the “after us” law, which concerns support for people with disabilities beyond their parents’ lifetime. Through its programs and family-focused work, Raggio di Sole seeks to foster greater participation and lasting community support
