Rähälän Hevostila

Rähälän Hevostila is a harness-racing horse breeding and training business based in Saarijärvi, Central Finland, led by Saara Mäkinen. It breeds both Finnish horses and warmbloods, aiming to produce quality racehorses for future competition through careful, professional work. Its breeding programme focuses on well-bred broodmares, stallion choices suited to each mare, and good growing conditions, including large pastures.

The farm offers foals for sale, as well as shared ownership opportunities in horses. Buyers can explore foals by birth year, upcoming foal crops, and the farm’s broodmares; in some cases, foals may be reserved before birth. The site also presents the farm’s earlier generations of homebred horses and highlights their achievements on the track, including major race wins. Rähälän Hevostila provides training services and notes the value of varied training for Finnish horses. Its website shares news about breeding, available horses, and partnerships, and invites prospective buyers and others interested in its horses to get in touch.
