About Österreichischer Raiffeisenverband
The Österreichischer Raiffeisenverband, also known as the Austrian Raiffeisen Association, was established in 1898 as the General Confederation of Agricultural Cooperatives. It later adopted its current name on June 24, 1960. As an umbrella organization, the Austrian Raiffeisen Association represents the entire Raiffeisen Group's interests in politics and society.
Its key responsibilities include Raiffeisen Audit and the training of leading employees and officials. The association serves as an advisor and service provider to its members in all agricultural, economic, and environmental policies, as well as matters related to tax law. It supports the Raiffeisen Group's concerns in relevant national and international institutions and authorities, and it plays a crucial role in information transfer, public relations, and coordination.
The Austrian Raiffeisen Association sees itself as a turntable, integration forum, and provider of impetus for its members. It aims to contribute to the economic, legal, socio-political, and environmental framework conditions for the benefit of the Raiffeisen Group. The association offers a comprehensive educational program through the Raiffeisen Campus and serves as the publisher of the Raiffeisen Paper.
With a rich history and strong values, the Raiffeisen cooperatives are deeply rooted in the region, enabling a personal relationship with members and clients while fostering active solidarity
