About RAC
The Railway Association of Canada (RAC) is dedicated to moving people, goods, and the Canadian economy through safe and sustainable railways. Committed to safety, they prioritize the well-being of their communities, employees, passengers, and cargo, ensuring that everything they do is conducted securely. In addition to safety, RAC is also focused on sustainability, working tirelessly to reduce emissions and implement technology that minimizes their impact on the planet. As advocates, they collaborate with government agencies to develop new regulations, rules, and standards based on evidence-based policy.
Their wide range of services includes safely transporting dangerous goods, promoting safety culture, offering mechanical and loading services, and providing proximity initiatives and enhanced train control. They also engage in regulatory affairs and policy and advocacy work to promote a sustainable and safe rail network.
Through their initiatives, publications, and Canadian Rail Atlas, RAC aims to build a more resilient, fluid supply chain in Canada, support economic growth, and contribute to a safer, more sustainable future for the railway industry.
