Railwayrunners is the official running community of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), established on March 29, 2019, to help KAI employees build healthier, more active lives through shared movement and collaboration. What began as a place for railway employees to run has grown into a community of 1,881 members across 13 city chapters, with activities spanning Sumatra and Java. Its running program includes road running, virtual challenges between chapters, and a trail division launched in 2024 for members who enjoy off-road routes.

Railwayrunners organizes challenges that encourage participation and friendly chapter competition, including themed events and longer running programs. Members can also follow a race calendar featuring road and trail events in cities across Indonesia, with listings that include dates, locations, and race distances. The community shares results, event information, articles, and stories from the running routes, while chapter captains help connect members locally. Through these activities, Railwayrunners combines fitness, camaraderie, and a shared identity among KAI employees, supporting a more active lifestyle and positive energy toward the organization’s goals.
