Rakan Tutor is a non-profit organization dedicated to overcoming learning loss and exacerbated inequality caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia. We provide free one-to-one tutoring services to underserved secondary school students. Our mission is to equip these students with the skills and confidence they need to excel academically and reach their fullest potential.

At Rakan Tutor, we believe in equal opportunity, which is why our tutoring services are 100% free. We are powered by dedicated youths who volunteer their time to tutor for 2-3 hours per week. These tutors have undergone comprehensive safeguarding training to ensure the safety and well-being of the students.

To support our tutors, we collaborate with Teach For Malaysia alumni to develop workshops and resources on equity, empathy, social emotional learning, and pedagogical skills. With the prolonged period of remote learning, many students have been left behind, particularly those from disadvantaged families. We aim to bridge this gap by offering free tutoring that these communities desperately need.
