The brand presents Schach-Ambiente as a new genre, combining the experience of chess with carefully constructed objects and a strong sense of spatial presence. Its first work in this genre is the ACA-Podium, described as the origin of Schach-Ambiente and a functional kinetic sculpture. The piece is designed around the ritual of play: its lounge-like character marks the beginning, while stepping onto the stage makes the player part of the sculpture and brings the construction’s precise mechanics into the experience.
Through this blend of interaction, tactile qualities, and visual impact, ralf woelk® aims to unite the setting, the player, and the act of thinking. The ACA-Podium is made exclusively to order, with production limited to a maximum of ten pieces per year. Customers receive personal support from Sandra Woelk, who serves as the point of contact for the independent manufactory duo
