Rambouillet Aïkido is a local martial arts club in Rambouillet, France, offering instruction in aikido and related weapons practice. The club presents aikido as a discipline focused not on defeating an opponent, but on improving relationships and supporting each person’s harmonious development. Its philosophy emphasizes mutual respect and shared progress rather than asserting oneself at another person’s expense. For this reason, the club explains that competition has no place in aikido.
Newcomers are invited to try a session and experience the practice. The published Saturday schedule includes weapons training from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by unarmed practice from 10 a.m. to noon. The club also notes that sessions with instructor André are devoted to weapons from 9 a.m. to noon. Its website provides information about the club, aikido’s origins, instructors, weapons, training events, photos, news, downloads, and related links. Members can find guidance on renewing their annual licence through their personal online space, a process introduced for the 2021–2022 season.
