Ramya Sadasivam is a contemporary realistic artist from Chennai, India, who has been practicing art since 2006. With a love for portraying Indian culture, customs, and the everyday lives of hardworking laborers and women, Ramya's work reflects her emotions and serves as a form of therapy. She undertakes freelance projects and her paintings capture the essence of genuine emotions, conveying compelling stories both big and small.
Her favorite medium is oil on canvas or Masonite board, and occasionally pencil. Ramya approaches her paintings with a reference in hand, often sketching and taking photographs during her tours. She draws inspiration from the natural, non-verbal communication between individuals or even between humans and animals.
