About Rantasipi
Rantasipi is a renowned hotel brand that has been operating since 1965. Originally known as Rantaloma Oy, the brand was established with the aim of promoting tourism in the Central Finland region. Over the years, Rantasipi expanded its portfolio, offering accommodation in various locations including Pori, Joutsa, Hyvinkää, Jyväskylä, Nilsiä, Saarijärvi, Sysmä, and Vaasa.
In the 1980s, Rantasipi became well-known for its unique forest hotels. The brand underwent ownership changes in the 1990s, eventually becoming a subsidiary of Restel. This acquisition led to the diversification of Rantasipi's offerings, including the addition of spa and city hotels.
In 2018, the ownership of Rantasipi hotels transitioned to Scandic, leading to a change in their names.
