Ranzkneipe

Ranzkneipe. de is a locally focused directory for discovering traditional, character-filled pubs in Lübeck and nearby towns. Created by a group based in Lübeck, the site celebrates venues that sit outside the polished mainstream: places with worn bar stools, well-used tables, smoky rooms and an unmistakable, welcoming atmosphere.

Its listings bring together practical details such as addresses, opening hours and available features, helping visitors find a pub for a casual drink or explore somewhere beyond their usual spot. The directory covers locations across Lübeck, Bad Schwartau, Stockelsdorf and Travemünde, and includes recommendations, featured venues and a monthly pub selection. Visitors can browse pubs by city, use a surprise-me feature, and check in to compete for a place on the leaderboard.

Ranzkneipe. de also invites users to suggest missing venues by submitting a questionnaire and photos, and offers a way to support the project through PayPal donations. Its playful, affectionate approach presents “Ranzkneipen” not as an insult, but as authentic local gathering places with distinctive charm
