Recently, Rapp AG expanded their service facility in Basel to create a new maintenance center for the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). This expansion allows for regular maintenance of international train compositions, ensuring their fleet remains in top form and ready for operation. The project involved extending the maintenance tracks, upgrading the existing hall, and constructing new outdoor tracks.

The expansion was carried out in close collaboration with renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron to maintain the aesthetic integrity of the facility. Rapp AG served as the general planner and coordinated all the necessary sub-projects for SBB Immobilien.
