Kindertagesstätte Rappelkiste is a childcare and early-learning centre in Velburg, Germany. Operated within the city’s municipal context, it provides care and developmental support for children from infancy through preschool age. The centre has six mixed-age, mixed-gender groups: three nursery groups for children aged one to three, and three kindergarten groups for children aged three to six.
The nursery groups, named Küken, Rehkids and Eichhörnchen, typically serve 10 to 12 children each. The kindergarten groups, Stadtmäuse, Feldmäuse and Landmäuse, typically have 20 to 25 children each. Group teams include qualified early childhood or educational staff and childcare assistants, with additional personnel or trainees where applicable.
Rappelkiste also hosts a weekly parent-child group on Tuesdays from 2:15 to 3:45 p. m. for children approximately seven months to two and a half years old and their parents.
This group is intended for children who are not already enrolled in the nursery or kindergarten. Families can register through the City of Velburg’s online portal
