Our purpose is to redefine cancer support so that nobody feels alone with their diagnosis. Our programs support patients from every angle; clinical, emotional, financial and practical. We understand a person’s world has turned upside down. And we will do whatever it takes to navigate them through the chaos of rare cancer with empathy and compassion. We equip our patients with courage, knowledge and motivation to advocate for themselves and demand to be heard. We stand side by side with them, to amplify the voices of the rare community and call out inequity in healthcare.Better patient experiences and outcomes are our north star. And we won’t stop reaching for them until the story and the system changes.

About Rare Cancers Australia
Rare Cancers Australia (RCA) is a passionate and dedicated team of professionals who have been working for the past 8 years to improve the lives of Australians affected by rare and less common cancers. They provide a range of products and services to support patients throughout their cancer journey. RCA offers a Rare Cancer Support Guide that provides valuable information on diagnosis, treatment, and relationships.
They also provide personalized support, including someone to listen and support services. Additionally, they offer resources such as a glossary of terms, health services, and clinical trials. One of the key areas of focus for RCA is advocacy and research.
They collaborate with various organizations, including the National Oncology Alliance, to ensure equitable access to diagnosis and treatment for rare cancer patients. They also conduct webinars and provide reports and submissions to raise awareness and promote change. RCA's mission is to improve the lives and health outcomes of Australians living with rare and less common cancers.
They believe that no one should have to face their cancer journey alone, especially when dealing with a rare cancer that may not have standard treatment options. They aim to provide support, raise awareness, and advocate for better access to diagnosis and treatment for rare cancer patients
