Raseborgs Fermenteri

Raseborgs Fermenteri, also known as Raaseporin Hapattamo, is a small-scale fermentation business based in Fiskars, Finland. Founded by food artisan Chia Näsman, the company makes traditionally fermented foods in a former ploughsmithy, working with producers from the surrounding area. Its approach combines hands-on craftsmanship with respect for traditional food practices and local ingredients.

The products are raw, vegan and unpasteurised, and are fermented by hand without machinery or plastic contact. Cabbages are pressed manually and prepared in ceramic pots, reflecting the company’s care for traditional methods and materials. Throughout the year, Raseborgs Fermenteri ferments locally sourced vegetables and fruit, with offerings ranging from cabbage to gooseberries. Its selection changes with the ingredients available from nearby producers, bringing seasonal local produce to the table in fermented form.

Raseborgs Fermenteri shares information about its products, stockists and contact details through its website and social media. The brand presents fermentation as a craft rooted in place, careful preparation and a love of good food.
