Rataplan Ratbikeclub Nederland is a vibrant community of motorcycle enthusiasts united by their passion for ratbikes—distinctive, creatively customized motorcycles crafted for both fun and functionality. Established following the inception of an online forum dedicated to ratbikes, the club has grown since its first gathering in 2003. With members from various corners of the Netherlands, Rataplan fosters camaraderie through rides, meet-ups, and activities involving camping, barbecuing, and a shared appreciation for the unique lifestyle associated with ratbiking.

The club organizes events such as the Dutch Hardly Rideables (DHR) meeting, which attracts fellow ratbike lovers from the Netherlands and beyond, including Belgium, France, Germany, and England. Ratbikes, often characterized by their low-budget aesthetics, symbolize a rebellious attitude and a commitment to creativity. They encompass various styles, from classic rats to junkrats laden with quirky accessories. Whether you're a seasoned rider or new to the scene, Rataplan offers a welcoming environment to connect with like-minded individuals who celebrate the joy of riding and custom bike building.
