Rathenower Werkstätten

Rathenower Werkstätten gGmbH is a vocational training, production and service organization in Rathenow, Germany, supporting people with different disabilities through opportunities for work, learning, housing and participation. It provides vocational preparation and a range of individualized workplace activities, with around 300 employees with disabilities working in an employee-like status. Its workshops undertake plastic and metal processing, electrical assembly, cable preparation, woodworking, packaging, construction and renovation, recycling, laundry, cleaning, catering and party services, gardening, landscaping, and moving and transport work. The organization also offers its own products, including flowers and seasonal fruit and vegetables.

Alongside employment, Rathenower Werkstätten provides social rehabilitation and support focused on practical living skills, motor development, orientation and communication. Its services include supported living, residential facilities, and provision for children, young people and young adults, as well as leisure, sports and holiday activities. A companion support service assists individuals as needed, with an emphasis on recognition, independence and participation.
