Rathods Family & Relatives Heritage is a family heritage initiative dedicated to documenting the Lakum~Rathod lineage and its tradition of service to humanity. Its narrative connects ancestral roots in the Indus Valley and Maurya heritage with the family’s later history in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Saurashtra. The site highlights relatives’ involvement in India’s freedom movement, including work alongside Mahatma Gandhi during the Dholera Satyagraha and Quit India Movement, and recounts their role in safeguarding Junagadh’s state treasury during its integration into India.

The initiative preserves and shares historical material, including family photographs, a rare audio recording of freedom fighter Dahyabhai Rathod, and accounts of Ramjidada’s work teaching weaving at Sabarmati Ashram. It also presents the family’s values of integrity, nonviolence, justice and selfless service, alongside information about Barot genealogical records said to document the lineage across centuries. Through heritage archives, family chronicles and educational storytelling, Rathods Heritage aims to keep this history accessible to relatives and the wider public.
