About Rauawaawa Kaumatua Charitable Trust
Rauawaawa Kaumatua Charitable Trust is a non-profit organization established in 1997 to address the needs of Kaumatua (those aged 55 and above). Committed to enhancing their quality of life and well-being, the trust provides culturally-focused, appropriate, and accessible health, social, and community-based activities and services. With over 600 registered Kaumatua, the trust operates as a unique organization governed by Kaumatua and serving elders in the Kirikiriroa area and throughout Aotearoa during events such as the Kaumatua Olympics.
The trust is quality accredited under the Te Wana Quality Health Programme and has received recognition and awards in multiple service delivery sectors. The key reasons identified by Kaumatua for accessing support from Rauawaawa include health, education, information, and socialization. Following a Korowai Framework, the trust weaves its services around Kaumatua to keep them warm and safe.

Whether it's health professionals, education services, social enterprise projects, or venue hire, Rauawaawa Kaumatua Charitable Trust is dedicated to serving and supporting Kaumatua in every aspect of their lives
