Raven Publishing Inc. Our unique books take you on a step-by-step journey to understand, appreciate, and create Pacific Northwest Coast Native art. We believe that our books lead to a better understanding, appreciation, and respect for the art styles and indigenous cultures of the Pacific Northwest Coast.
Our books are designed for artists, teachers, students, collectors, and anyone interested in Pacific Northwest Coast First Nations arts and culture. They have been widely used by various artists who have created fabric designs, weaving, embroidery, painted and carved wood, decorative furniture, precious metal engraving, and much more. We are proud to have seen our books being utilized by carvers, painters, jewelry makers, tattoo artists, and even elementary and high school teachers.
With over 80 years of combined experience, our authors and contributors have a deep understanding of Indigenous education, teaching, and creating Pacific Northwest Coast art. We are located in Union Bay, British Columbia, on the traditional territories of the K’ómoks Nations. Our goal is to pass on our knowledge and appreciation for Pacific Northwest Coast Native art to a wider audience, promoting cultural understanding and artistic development
