Rainbow Bridge Aquamation, LLC provides compassionate, environmentally conscious aftercare for pets in Canandaigua, New York. The company offers aquamation, also known as alkaline hydrolysis, as a gentle alternative to traditional cremation. Using warm water and a chemical solution rather than intense heat, the process returns a pet’s body to its natural components while reducing environmental impact. Rainbow Bridge reports that aquamation uses 90% less energy and produces one tenth of the carbon footprint of traditional cremation, without harmful emissions.

The service includes private aquamation, so families receive only their own pet’s ashes. A representative can collect a pet from a home or veterinary office and return the remains to the same location. Families can follow the process through real-time tracking and email or text notifications. The returned memorial package includes the ashes, a unique identifying QR code, and any selected memorial items. Rainbow Bridge also offers a grief-support video library and a celebration video creator, helping families remember and honor their companion.
