Rybářské centrum BIG FISH is a fishing tackle retailer in Plzeň, Czech Republic, and describes itself as the city’s oldest continuously operating fishing shop. Its physical store has more than 30 years of history, while its staff bring over 50 years of fishing experience and offer customers personal advice and recommendations. The shop sells fishing equipment and supplies, including live bait available throughout the year.
Although its sales floor is relatively small, BIG FISH says it can usually obtain items that are not in stock within 24 hours. Customers can also have fishing line and braided line wound onto reels, and purchase gift vouchers. The centre buys unwanted fishing equipment from customers and may also sell used items on commission.
Its additional services include repairs to rods and reels and arrangements for the taxidermy of fishing trophies. Rather than focusing on competing with fishing e-commerce stores, BIG FISH emphasizes face-to-face service, knowledgeable guidance, and helping anglers find the products and support they need
