About Research Centers Collaborative Network
The Research Centers Coordinating Network (RCCN) is a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration in aging research. Managed by Wake Forest University School of Medicine and the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR), the RCCN connects key thought leaders from various National Institute on Aging (NIA) Center programs to address the multifaceted challenges of an aging society. The network brings together experts through workshops, pilot awards, educational opportunities for early-career researchers, and research resources to stimulate innovative approaches to aging.
RCCN's initiatives include the organization of workshops that facilitate dialogue among researchers, funding for interdisciplinary projects that emerge from these discussions, and a wealth of archived webinars and educational materials. The network's programs encompass a wide array of topics, including Alzheimer’s disease research, the basics of aging biology, and minority aging research. By aligning diverse perspectives and disciplines, RCCN aims to unlock new insights that ultimately advance the field of aging research.
