The Recovery Coach Leadership Academy (RCLA) is a Minnesota-based organization focused on strengthening recovery support through peer leadership, training, and individualized services. Its work centers on helping people build and sustain long-term recovery, including individuals returning to the community after incarceration. Certified Peer Recovery Specialists provide person-centered guidance with recovery and housing resources, goal planning, employment connections, and ongoing support.
RCLA also develops the peer recovery workforce through professional education, ethics training, continuing education, and opportunities to pursue or maintain Certified Peer Recovery Specialist credentials. Its 46-hour Recovery Coach Academy and Ethics training is delivered virtually on Zoom and is approved by the Minnesota Certification Board for CPRS exam eligibility. Additional offerings include a 24-hour Forensic Endorsement for CPRSs with lived experience in the justice-involved field, and Cultural Awareness and Humility in Recovery Services training for working effectively with diverse populations.
Through justice-involved reentry services, training, and recovery support, RCLA aims to equip skilled coaches and help individuals access resources, stability, and opportunities for lasting progress.
