About RCMP Heritage Centre
The RCMP Heritage Centre is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Canada's national police force. As the iconic Mounties, they are known worldwide for their distinctive red serge tunics, Stetson hats, and high brown boots. Located on Treaty 4 lands, the Centre offers visitors an immersive experience, delving into both the historical and modern-day stories of the RCMP.
Through a range of traditional and state-of-the-art exhibits, virtual and augmented reality experiences, and live events, guests can gain a deep understanding of the Force's significant contributions and enduring legacy. Situated on the doorstep of the RCMP Academy, Depot Division, where Mounties have trained since 1885, the Centre is designed to educate and entertain visitors of all ages. While not owned by the RCMP, it is fully supported by the RCMP's Historical Collections Unit, ensuring the accuracy and authenticity of the displays.
By exploring the RCMP Heritage Centre, you'll discover the fascinating journey of Canada's Mounties and gain a new appreciation for their role in maintaining law and order throughout the nation
