The Royal College of Surgeons of England is a professional membership organisation and charity committed to helping surgeons uphold high standards of practice and patient care. It supports the surgical community throughout different career stages, from students and trainees to practising surgeons, SAS surgeons and international members. Its work also includes dentistry through the Faculty of Dental Surgery.

The College offers education, examinations, courses, accreditation and continuing professional development opportunities, alongside mentoring and wellbeing resources. Surgeons and the wider public can access patient-care information, standards and guidance, research, and resources on surgical innovation and workforce issues. Its library, publications, journals and member-only e-journals provide professional knowledge, while The Bulletin covers issues, diversity, innovation and research across the surgical community.

The College also hosts events, supports networks and invites people to contribute to research, publications and other initiatives. Through its museums and archives, including the Hunterian Museum and Anatomy and Pathology Museum, it preserves and shares surgical heritage. As a charity, it welcomes donations to support research, training and collections conservation.
