Regional Community Vet Clinic

Regional Community Vet Clinic (RCVC) is a non-profit organisation working to improve access to veterinary care for companion animals in Central Victoria. It recognises that distance, limited local infrastructure and financial hardship can prevent residents from obtaining routine care, putting pets’ health and wellbeing at risk. RCVC’s mission is to provide affordable, quality services for people experiencing social disadvantage or financial difficulty, while supporting community wellbeing and easing pressure on local veterinarians, animal welfare groups and councils.

Its veterinary services include desexing, microchipping, vaccinations, health checks, parasite treatments, nail trimming, gland expression, dental checks and cleans, and removal of minor lumps. RCVC also offers community support such as pet exercise, help administering medication, transport to veterinary appointments, pet food donations, temporary boarding or visits when an owner is in hospital, and basic grooming assistance. The clinic is not a full-service practice and cannot treat emergencies or injuries; where possible, it connects pets and owners with appropriate services.
