Rwanda Ministry of Defence

Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) is Rwanda’s national defence institution, responsible for protecting the country and supporting security operations. Its services include the Army, which conducts operations independently and alongside other RDF branches, and the Air Force, which is tasked with defending Rwandan airspace through offensive and defensive operations. The Military Health Service provides health support to defence and security personnel, their families, and the general public. The Reserve Force combines full-time active-duty soldiers with part-time personnel who may be recalled when needed.

RDF also contributes to international peacekeeping and support for communities affected by conflict. The website reports deployments to United Nations missions in South Sudan and the Central African Republic, and highlights activities such as medical outreach and community clean-ups by Rwandan peacekeepers. Its public information services include updates on RDF leaders and activities, military schools, ranks, awards, laws, publications, announcements, and tenders. The site serves as an official source of information and contact details for the force.
