About RE Museum
Welcome to the Royal Engineers Museum (REM), home to one of the most important military collections in the UK. Established by the Corps of Royal Engineers, the REM Collection has been curated over the past two hundred years, earning its prestigious Designated status in 1998. The museum showcases the rich history and heritage of Britain's military engineers, spanning over 300 years.
Explore our vast collection comprising over 1 million artifacts that tell the story of personal experiences and the scientific advancements in military and civil engineering. From continental wars and conquests to two World Wars and modern-day developments, our exhibits offer a fascinating insight into the Corps of Royal Engineers. With our recent expansion and development program, we've created new facilities and partnerships to enhance the visitor experience.
Discover the Bridge Study Centre and browse our growing image library. We also offer venue hire for special occasions. As a registered charity, we are dedicated to collecting, preserving, and presenting accessible history to educate and inspire members of the Corps, Armed Forces, and the general public.
