RE is a global stakeholder platform dedicated to advancing responsible sourcing in mineral value chains. Their primary goal is to create the necessary framework conditions for responsible sourcing in the EU and globally. To achieve this, RE focuses on three key industry sectors: renewable energy, mobility, and electrical and electronic equipment.

RE offers a range of solutions to promote responsible sourcing, including creating a global network, designing sectoral roadmaps, providing best practice cases, and forming a common understanding among policy makers, civil society, and businesses. They actively engage stakeholders through workshops, conferences, and an online platform for knowledge sharing and best practice cases. By establishing roadmaps, building a vibrant community, and training leaders in business, politics, and civil society, RE aims to create a level playing field for responsible sourcing globally.

Their objectives are to widely use the RE-SOURCING Platform as a hub for information and networking, accelerate the uptake of effective responsible sourcing practices, and contribute to an improved perception and understanding of responsible sourcing among key industry players and policymakers.
