About Re-turn
Re is a brand that is committed to promoting recycling and sustainability through their Deposit Return Scheme in Ireland. With the Re-turn logo displayed on eligible drinks containers, customers pay a small deposit when purchasing a drink in a plastic bottle, aluminium, or steel can. The containers must be returned empty and undamaged, either to any retail outlet or through a reverse vending machine (RVM).
In return, customers receive a full refund of their deposit in cash or can choose to use it for future purchases or donate to a charity. This scheme aims to create a circular economy, reducing litter and protecting the environment by keeping valuable materials in circulation for as long as possible. With return points across Ireland, it is convenient for everyone to participate in this initiative.
Together, we can make a positive impact on climate change and create a sustainable future for generations to come. The Deposit Return Scheme will officially launch on February 1, 2024
