Reaching People Leicester

Reaching People is a Leicester-based charity and collaborative network supporting voluntary, community, social enterprise and other community organisations across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Bringing together more than 30 member organisations, it helps charities, social enterprises and community partners share expertise, build capacity and work together to improve local outcomes. Its role combines sector-wide support with frontline programmes, connecting members with funding opportunities, partnerships and practical resources while amplifying their collective voice.

Reaching People’s work spans leadership development, volunteering, employment, health and wellbeing, dementia awareness, digital inclusion and community support. Its programmes include leadership seminars and training, mentoring and coaching, a Community Connector programme, Dementia Community Champions and the Refurb IT initiative, which helps bridge the digital divide through device donations, refurbishment, reuse and recycling. The organisation also coordinates emergency food support, environmental projects and money advice initiatives. Through its network and partnerships with community groups, local authorities, NHS partners, universities and national bodies, Reaching People works to strengthen organisations and communities together.
