About Reach Out Cameroon
Reach Out is a local, woman-led and non-profit organization based in Buea, Cameroon. With a mission to assist the most vulnerable people, Reach Out provides humanitarian aid and development projects through their Health Department, Human Rights and Governance, and Wealth Creations. The organization was founded in 1996 as a response to the HIV outbreak and has since grown into a reputable NGO with three departments and various initiatives across Cameroon, North-Eastern Nigeria, and Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Reach Out is dedicated to serving minority groups such as widows, displaced women, school drop-outs, orphans, and vulnerable children, as well as individuals affected by HIV and AIDS. In addition to providing assistance, Reach Out also advocates for the rights of marginalized communities and addresses issues related to gender-based violence, inequality, and economic empowerment. Through their community-centered approach, Reach Out aims to empower underprivileged groups and create a supportive policy environment where everyone has access to improved livelihoods
