The Friends of Reader Rock Garden Society (FoRRGS) is a passionate non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the Reader Rock Garden, an iconic Legacy Park and National Historic Site in Calgary. Established in conjunction with the City of Calgary, this volunteer-driven group ensures that the beauty and integrity of this remarkable garden, originally envisioned by William Reader in 1913, are maintained for future generations.

Nestled across three acres, the garden boasts a diverse collection of over 4,500 plant varieties, meticulously cultivated to create a serene oasis in the heart of the city. FoRRGS hosts several events throughout the year, including a members-only annual plant sale, where visitors can purchase unique plants that have been lovingly nurtured in their greenhouses. In addition to engaging community activities, the society encourages public involvement through memberships, volunteering opportunities, and donations, fostering a sense of camaraderie among plant enthusiasts.
